Social customs and even dress standards have come a long way in the last few years. This is especially true of the last five years. In previous generations there was nothing wrong with or even the possibility of looking too good. Today, however, a woman who is too well dressed or made up, who looks too good, will often be branded as “high maintenance” – a decidedly negative brand. While it just did not exist a generation ago it certainly does now and it is generally recognized by most women as a no-no when she is out on the prowl. A thorough understanding of these principles might, indeed, help to get your ex back. If you are trying to recover a broken relationship, your chance to win your ex back, will be heightened by knowing all these things.
A man who sees an approaching woman who is wearing a three thousand-dollar dress and nine hundred dollar shoes, instantly computes the number of fishing boats and golf clubs he will be giving up to get that walking chunk of goodies. A woman who is clicking down the street in nine hundred-dollar snakeskin pumps will rarely accept a bargain-rate motel or flying in a coach seat. It may be sad that such things do happen – but they do. Therefore, there is definitely some justification for the ‘high maintenance’ issue. The bottom line here is for you to recognize that this is an issue and at least give it some sense of consideration when you are going out. If you are attempting to get ex back from a breakup caused by the absence of these things, take heed.
What are the boundaries or limits beyond which most women are instantly branded as high maintenance by just their looks alone. Certainly, clothing is a major issue in this context, because even a blue-collar worker can sense the difference between a hand-stitched silk sweater and its polyester cousin. The one that exceeds dress and is laser-like in its attention-getting is jewelry. A woman with half a dozen gold bracelets on either wrist instantly puts herself into a distinctly different category than that reserved for the woman with only a single strand of pearls. Her pearls might actually be valued at thousands more than all the gold bracelets but only she knows that.
The next category of high-maintenance is hair. In prior generations it was unacceptable for a woman to go to work or out about with an evening hairdo. Today, however, it is not only common it is flaunted by women who also are wearing a thousand-dollar jade necklace over a ten-dollar Sherpa pullover.
The final category is makeup. In addition to the high-maintenance look of an evening hairdo goes the overly made up face. Like the hair thing it was just not done in the past – the overly made up face at work or play. Not until well into this decade was it common to see a woman overly made up on the tennis court.
Clearly, you can see what is called for here. In order to avoid the sand-boxing effect of being instantly branded as ‘high maintenance” just learn to tone it down and be more selective in picking your over-the-top looks for the evening hours.
